The New American Lawn

Traditional lawns are monocultures of nonnative turf. This project reimagines American lawn culture by capturing the beauty and impact of eco-friendly alternatives that support biodiversity, conserve resources, and break through legal barriers. Through photography and research, it showcases how pollinator-friendly lawns, native plants, and forward-thinking legal policies are transforming yards into vibrant, resilient ecosystems.
